If you’re looking for a more environmentally responsible alternative to Trichloroethylene or Perchloroethylene, Enviro Tech’s EnSolv is the solution for you
On April 8, 2022, the US EPA added n-propyl bromide (1-bromopropane or nPB) to the list of hazardous substances under CERCLA/Superfund.
Enviro Tech International is pleased to announce they are an approved source of supply vendor for Northop Grumman – CPMPOUND, CLEANER, SOLVENT intended on light to medium cleaning of interior primed and painted parts.
Industries across the board are investing in lean operations. General machine maintenance, especially degreasing, is crucial to smooth operations, and it doesn’t have to take an enormous amount of time. Vapor degreasing is becoming increasingly popular as an efficient, effective solution.
When cleaning your equipment, anything you can do to make the process more streamlined can limit mechanical downtime and prevent costly repairs. Check out the benefits of vapor degreasing so that you can decide whether it’s the right option for you.
In essence, vapor degreasing takes the basic components of classic degreasing solutions and sets them free as floating fumes. You start with a degreasing agent and, by highly controlled means, boil it to a vapor that can move in and around machine parts (suspended above the boiling solvent) without requiring a person to physically apply it. Meanwhile, above your suspended parts are cooling coils that turn the vapors back into liquid. As the condensed liquid degreaser falls, it takes the grime with it.
The entire process is closely monitored so that your parts get the same — and often better — deep degreasing to keep them running smoothly.
Vapor degreasing is growing in popularity. Already, it is commonly used in such industries as automotive, medical device manufacturing, electronics, aviation and jewelry. Any industry that deals in simple and complex machine parts stands to benefit from vapor degreasing. If you have ever struggled with deep-cleaning and degreasing crevices that are difficult to access, then vapor degreasing could be an excellent solution.
Depending on the industrial needs, vapor degreasing methods have been tweaked for smarter application, with such solutions as spray immersion, ultrasonic cleaning and other innovative techniques.
Companies that have adopted vapor degreasing have done so for a variety of reasons. Here are just a few:
In short, it can be complicated. You have to consider azeotrope (similar boiling points), solvents specific to your soil contaminant, and solvents that won’t damage your machinery. It takes a bit of technical savvy to find the perfect blend. Of course, the experts at Enviro Tech are more than happy to help you find the solution that works best for you. Contact us to learn more.
