New EPA Ruling on n-propyl bromide (nPB) and How to Choose the Right Alternative

Regulatory agencies’ push for the substitution of n-propyl bromide (1-bromopropane or nPB) with more environmentally responsible alternatives has gotten more clarity. This transition can be a daunting task for those using nPB as a critical part of their solvent cleaning operations, however there are viable alternatives available.

Our NEXT Generation Solvents are a direct, drop-in replacement for n-propyl bromide.  Enviro Tech is proud to be an industry leader once again as a supplier of NEXT 3000, EnSolv® NEXT solvents, and NEXT HD Pro as alternatives to chlorinated and brominated vapor degreasing solvents. These new formulations replace chemicals such as HCFC-225 (AK-225), trichloroethylene (TCE), n-propyl bromide (nPB) and more, offering advantages such as lower ozone depletion potential (ODP), higher KB value, lower toxicity and less governmental regulation.
